Indien de gebruikte UAS een maximale startmassa van 20kg of meer heeft, is de UAS-exploitant verzekerd conform de bepalingen van verordening (EG) nr. 785/2004 van het Europees Parlement en de Raad van 21 april 2004 betreffende de verzekeringseisen voor luchtvervoerders en exploitanten van luchtvaartuigen.
