If you fly a drone (ultralight flying device) that requires mandatory insurance without having active insurance or mutual aid coverage, you can be fined up to 5 million KRW.

Requirement as structured

A person who operates an ultralight flying device (초경량비행장치) without purchasing the mandatory insurance (보험) or mutual aid (공제) in violation of Article 70, Paragraph 3 or 4 shall be subject to an administrative fine (과태료) of up to 5 million KRW.
