Subject to subsection (2), a person is qualified to be the registered owner of a remotely piloted aircraft if they are (a) a Canadian citizen or permanent resident of Canada; (b) a corporation or entity that is incorporated or formed under the laws of Canada or a province; or (c) a government in Canada or an agent or mandatary of such a government.
