An applicant applying for a Class B UAPL must hold a valid Class A UAPL in the corresponding category without any mass limitations as a prerequisite. For example, a person applying for a Class B UAPL to operate a 40kg rotorcraft must hold a valid Class A UAPL in the rotorcraft category first.
