Subject to paragraph (2), a person must not act as a UA pilot of an unmanned aircraft that has a total mass exceeding 1.5 kg but not exceeding 7 kg for a recreation purpose or an education purpose unless the person — (a) has attained the requisite minimum age; and (b) holds a UA basic training certificate, or holds a UA pilot licence that is in force.
