Obligation to report ultralight vehicle accidents

If your drone is involved in an accident, you must report it immediately to the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport. If you cannot make the report, the drone owner must do it.

An ultralight vehicle pilot (초경량비행장치 조종자) must report any ultralight vehicle accident (초경량비행장치사고) to the Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport without delay; if the pilot is unable to do so, the owner (초경량비행장치소유자등) must report it.

초경량비행장치 조종자는 초경량비행장치사고가 발생하였을 때에는 국토교통부령으로 정하는 바에 따라 지체 없이 국토교통부장관에게 그 사실을 보고하여야 한다. 다만, 초경량비행장치 조종자가 보고할 수 없을 때에는 그 초경량비행장치소유자등이 초경량비행장치사고를 보고하여야 한다.
