This AC does not change, create, amend, or permit deviations from regulatory requirements, nor does it establish minimum standards. 1.1 Purpose (1) This AC provides information and guidance to manufacturers making Declarations and Pre-Validated Declarations (PVD) to the Minister for remotely piloted aircraft systems (RPAS) intended for Advanced Operations (ref CAR Part IX Div V) and Level 1 Complex Operations (ref CAR Part IX Div VI) in accordance with the requirements of Part IX of the Canadian Aviation Regulations (CARs) .
