Temporary Physical Examination by a Specialized Physician

If the government suspects you have a medical or mental condition that disqualifies you from holding a drone pilot certificate, you must undergo a physical examination conducted by a specialized doctor approved by the Ministry.

Requirement as structured

When there is reason to suspect that a person who passed the pilot exam or holds an Unmanned Aircraft Pilot Certificate (無人航空機操縦者技能証明) has a disqualifying physical or mental condition, the temporary physical examination ordered by the Minister must be conducted by a physician recognized by the Minister of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism as having specialized knowledge regarding the relevant medical conditions.

試験に合格した者が法第百三十二条の四十六第一項第一号又は第二号のいずれかに該当する者であり、又は技能証明を受けた者が法第百三十二条の五十三第一号から第三号までのいずれかに該当することとなつたと疑う理由がある場合における法第百三十二条の四十八第一項に規定する身体検査は、これらの規定に規定する処分の要件に関し専門的な知識を有すると国土交通大臣が認める医師の診断により、行うものとする。
