If you violate drone laws or cause a serious accident, the government can revoke your pilot certificate or suspend it for up to one year.

The Minister of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism may revoke a Remote Pilot Certificate (技能証明) or suspend it for a period of up to one year if the holder violates the Civil Aeronautics Act (or orders thereunder) or causes a serious accident or incident, in accordance with standards established by the Minister.

国土交通大臣は、技能証明を受けた者が法第百三十二条の五十三第四号又は第五号のいずれかに該当するときは、国土交通大臣が定める基準に従い、その技能証明を取り消し、又は一年以内において期間を定めてその技能証明の効力を停止することができる。
