Drone type certificates are split into Class 1 (for high-risk flights over people without entry controls, i.e., Category III) and Class 2 (for flights with entry controls, i.e., Category II).

Type Certification (型式認証) is classified into Class 1 Type Certification (第一種型式認証) for unmanned aircraft intended for Specified Flights (特定飛行) conducted without entry control measures, and Class 2 Type Certification (第二種型式認証) for those conducted with entry control measures.
