Penalty for Failure to Record or Making False Entries in Flight Log

If you conduct Specified Flights, you must record the required details in your flight log without delay after flying, maintaining or modifying the drone. Leaving them out or making false entries can be fined up to 100,000 yen.

Requirement as structured

A person conducting a Specified Flight (特定飛行) who, after using the unmanned aircraft for flight or maintaining or modifying it, fails to record in the flight log (飛行日誌) the matters prescribed by Ordinance of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, or makes a false entry, in violation of Article 132-89, Paragraph 2, shall be punished by a fine of up to 100,000 yen.

第百五十七条の十一　次の各号のいずれかに該当するときは、その違反行為をした者は、十万円以下の罰金に処する。 一第百三十二条の五十四の規定に違反して、無人航空機操縦者技能証明書を携帯しないで特定飛行を行つたとき。 二第百三十二条の八十九第一項の規定に違反して、飛行日誌を備えなかつたとき。 三第百三十二条の八十九第二項の規定に違反して、飛行日誌に記載すべき事項を記載せず、又は虚偽の記載をしたとき。
