Immediate suspension of accreditation for safety risks

If CASA believes your drone accreditation poses a serious safety risk, they can suspend it immediately. While suspended, you are treated as not holding an accreditation and cannot fly under it.

Requirement as structured

An accreditation is suspended from the time a show cause notice is given if CASA reasonably considers there may be a serious risk to the safety of air navigation were the accreditation not suspended and the notice states that the accreditation is suspended for that reason. While suspended, the holder is taken not to hold an accreditation and the accreditation is not in force; CASA may revoke the suspension at any time, and the suspension lapses if CASA has not dealt with it under regulation 101.374J within 90 days.

The accreditation is suspended from the time the show cause notice is given to the accreditation holder, if: (a) CASA reasonably considers that there may be a serious risk to the safety of air navigation if the accreditation were not suspended; and (b) the show cause notice states that the accreditation is suspended for that reason... If the accreditation is suspended under subregulation (3): (a) the accreditation holder is taken not to be the holder of an accreditation during the period of suspension; and (b) the accreditation is not in force while suspended
