Scope of Inspection for Type Certification

When a drone model undergoes type certification, the inspection covers both the design and manufacturing processes of that model, and a physical inspection of at least one actual drone built to those specifications.

The inspection for issuing a Type Certification (型式認証) shall be conducted on the design and manufacturing process of the unmanned aircraft type, as well as the actual condition of one representative aircraft manufactured under that design and manufacturing process.

型式認証を行うための検査は、当該無人航空機の型式の設計及び製造過程並びにその設計及び製造過程に係る無人航空機のうち一機の現状について行う。
