Permit requirement for restricted areas, geographical zones and temporary geographical zones

Before flying in a restricted flight area or geographical zone in Estonia, you must obtain a permit. For temporary geographical zones, a permit is required if the creator of the zone has made flights conditional upon having one.

Requirement as structured

A permit is required to fly in a flight-restricted area or a UAS geographical zone established by Government order under § 4¹(1). In a temporary UAS geographical zone established under § 4¹(2), a permit is required only where the authority that established the zone allows flying subject to a permit (§ 4¹(1¹) point 2).

(4) Käesoleva paragrahvi lõike 1 alusel kehtestatud lennupiirangutega alas või geograafilises alas lendamiseks on vaja luba. Käesoleva paragrahvi lõike 2 alusel kehtestatud ajutises geograafilises alas lendamiseks on vaja luba, kui ajutise geograafilise ala kehtestaja lubab lendamise lõike 1 1 punktis 2 nimetatud loa olemasolul.
