Finland publishes its drone zones in Droneinfo and the Droneinfo mobile app. Typical zones cover airports (CTR), military areas, prisons, nuclear plants and certain nature reserves. Some zones require a permit from the zone owner rather than from Traficom.

Where Finland defines UAS geographical zones, the information on those zones, including their period of validity, must be made publicly available in a common unique digital format for geo-awareness purposes.

When pursuant to paragraphs 1 or 2 Member States define UAS geographical zones, for geo awareness purposes they shall ensure that the information on the UAS geographical zones, including their period of validity, is made publicly available in a common unique digital format.
