外務大臣は、第一項の規定により対象外国公館等として同項第二号又は第三号に掲げる施設を指定し、及び当該施設に係る対象外国公館等の敷地又は区域を指定し、並びに前項の規定により当該対象外国公館等に係る対象施設周辺地域を指定するときは、期間を定めて指定するものとする。
