Exemption from Extraordinary Physical Examination via Medical Certificate

If you are ordered to take an extraordinary physical exam, you must attend at the scheduled time and place. However, you can skip the in-person exam if you submit a qualified doctor's medical certificate before the deadline.

A person notified of an extraordinary physical examination (臨時身体検査) must appear at the designated date and location to undergo the examination, unless they submit a medical certificate (医師の診断書) meeting the requirements of the Ordinance of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism by the designated date.

前項の規定により通知を受けた者は、通知された期日に通知された場所に出頭して身体検査を受けなければならない。ただし、当該通知を受けた者が、当該通知された期日までに国土交通省令で定める要件を満たす医師の診断書を提出した場合は、この限りでない。
