Provision of Maintenance Technical Information by Type Certificate Holders

Companies or individuals who hold a type certificate for a drone must provide the drone's operators with the technical and maintenance information needed to keep the aircraft safe and airworthy.

Requirement as structured

A person who has obtained a Type Certification, etc. (型式認証等) must, as prescribed by the Ordinance of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, provide the user of the unmanned aircraft of the certified type with the technical information necessary for its maintenance.

型式認証等を受けた者は、国土交通省令で定めるところにより、当該型式認証等を受けた型式の無人航空機の使用者に対し、当該無人航空機の整備をするに当たつて必要となる技術上の情報であつて国土交通省令で定めるものを提供しなければならない。
