Crossing highways with C0, C1, C2 or legacy drones under 250g

You can cross a highway with a C0, C1, C2, or <250g legacy drone if you fly at least 20 meters above the ground and obstacles (like streetlights), keep the drone in sight, and ensure there are no moving vehicles on the road. You must not hover over the highway.

Requirement as structured

Transportstyrelsen's guidance (based on EASA guidance) states, as a recommendation for flying over a motorway or expressway, that drones in class C0, C1 or C2, or without a C class and under 250 g, are permitted to cross the road but are not permitted to hover over it, and the 1:1 rule applies; the drone is to be flown at least 20 metres above the ground and obstacles (for example street lamps) and always kept within visual line of sight, and no moving vehicles may be on the road.
