You cannot fly a drone at airports or within airport no-fly zones without permission. However, you can fly without permission within scheduled airport no-fly zones if you stay below the height of the tallest obstacles and within 50 meters of them.

Óheimilt er að fljúga ómönnuðum loftförum án leyfis rekstraraðila flugvalla á flugvöllum og innan flugvallasvæða og innan bannsvæða ómannaðra loftfara umhverfis áætlunarflugvelli. Innan bannsvæða umhverfis áætlunarflugvelli er þó leyfilegt að fljúga án sérstaks leyfis rekstraraðila ef ómannaða loftfarinu er flogið undir hæð hæstu hindrana, innan 50 metra við flugferil loftfarsins.
