In plain language

Your model (over 30kg) must be inspected once a year using the official checklist. You must sign the checklist, record the inspection in the aircraft's logbook, and fix any defects before flying.

Requirement as structured

Model aircraft with an FOCA operating permit (maximum take-off mass over 30 kg) must undergo an annual inspection, carried out once a year starting from the effective date of the operating permit. The inspection must use the official annual inspection checklist, and any additional items needing inspection that are not on the checklist must also be inspected and documented. When complete, the checklist must be completed and signed by the person responsible for the inspection, and an entry certifying the inspection must be made in the aircraft maintenance logbook. Any defects or abnormalities found must be corrected, and the aircraft may not be operated until they have been corrected and its airworthiness restored. The annual inspection does not replace the inspection by an SMV expert required after a major modification or major repair. The owner or operator is responsible for ensuring the inspection is done within the required timeframe and that all maintenance records are kept up to date.
