Remote ID Exemption for Notified Areas

You do not need Remote ID if you fly within a specific area that you have registered in advance with the government, as long as you have observers monitoring the flight and clear signs marking the boundaries.

2　前項第二号の規定は、当該登録無人航空機が次のいずれかに掲げる飛行に用いるものである場合については、適用しない。 一　あらかじめ国土交通大臣に届け出たところに従つて当該届出に係る区域の上空において行われる登録無人航空機の飛行であつて、国土交通大臣が定めるところにより、次に掲げる措置が講じられているもの イ　当該届出に係る区域の上空における無人航空機の飛行を監視するために必要な補助者の配置その他の措置 ロ　当該届出に係る区域の範囲を明示するために必要な標識の設置その他の措置
