Where an application for an operational authorisation or a light UAS operator certificate (LUC) is submitted without deficiencies and the state fee has been paid, Transpordiamet decides within 90 days whether to issue it. Transpordiamet may extend this deadline once, by up to 90 days, where the complexity of the case requires it. If the application is not reviewed within the deadline, the authorisation is not deemed granted when the deadline passes (no tacit approval).

Kui käitamisloa või kerge mehitamata õhusõiduki süsteemi käitaja pädevustunnistuse taotlus on ilma puudusteta esitatud ning riigilõiv tasutud, siis teeb Transpordiamet 90 päeva jooksul otsuse käitamisloa väljastamise või väljastamata jätmise osas. Transpordiamet võib otsuse tegemise tähtaega üks kord kuni 90 päeva võrra pikendada, kui see on vajalik juhtumi keerukuse tõttu. Kui taotlust ei vaadata läbi tähtaja jooksul, ei loeta käitamisluba tähtaja möödumisel taotlejale vaikimisi antuks.
