Drone registration rules apply to all micro, very small, small, and medium drones, unless CASA has issued a specific exemption for that drone or class of drone.

Division 47.C.2 (RPA registration) applies to medium, small, very small and micro RPA. It does not apply to an RPA prescribed by a CASA instrument made under regulation 47.096(3); Division 47.C.1 applies to such an aircraft instead.

This Division applies to the following aircraft: (a) a medium RPA; (b) a small RPA; (c) a very small RPA; (d) a micro RPA. (2) However, this Division does not apply to an RPA that is prescribed by an instrument under subregulation (3) for the purposes of this subregulation.
