For the issue of a First-Class Remote Pilot certificate (一等無人航空機操縦士), payment of the registration and license tax (登録免許税) is also necessary in addition to the certificate issuance fee. A person who pays the tax directly to the Kojimachi Tax Office (Tokyo Regional Taxation Bureau) is asked to send the original receipt, attached to the registration and license tax receipt notification form, to the Unmanned Aircraft Safety Division, Safety Department, Civil Aviation Bureau, MLIT.
