Before flying your drone over Portuguese coastal waters, national waters, or near harbor entrances, you must coordinate with the National Maritime Authority and the local port captaincy to ensure your flight does not interfere with maritime traffic or search and rescue operations.

In the SORA authorisation process, for any operation within a harbour or a harbour entrance, ANAC will request evidence that the UAS operator coordinated the operation with the captaincy, so that evidence must be provided.
