UAE-Based Operator Requirement

Only companies based in the UAE can get a drone operator authorization. A foreign operator can only be contracted if no local operator is capable of doing the job and it is officially approved.

Only UAE-based operators can be granted a UA Operator Authorisation (UOA), unless the GCAA or LAA authorizes a UAE-based operator to contract a non-UAE operator due to a lack of capable local operators.

Only UAE based operator can be granted UOA. However, the GCAA or LAA may authorize a UAE based operator to contract a non-UAE based UA Operator if there is no UAE UA operator capable of performing the requested mission with acceptable Justification.
