Exemptions for Toy Drones
Verified from official sourcesDroneregler (part 1)Version 1Effective -Verified 23 August 2026
In plain language
If you fly a CE-marked toy drone, you don't need to be 16, register, or have insurance. However, you must still follow the 120m height limit, stay away from no-fly zones, keep it in sight, and avoid flying over crowds.
Requirement as structured
Toy drones are exempt from the 16-year age limit, operator registration, pilot training, and insurance requirements, but must still comply with operational rules such as altitude limits, no-fly zones, VLOS, and overflight restrictions.
Original regulatory text
