Operational Authorisation Exemption for LUC Holders

If your organization holds an LUC with the right privileges, you don't need to apply for a separate authorisation or submit a declaration for the flight.

Requirement as structured

A UAS operator holding a light UAS operator certificate (LUC) is not required to obtain an operational authorisation or to submit a declaration for an operation, to the extent that the competent authority has granted that privilege in accordance with point UAS.LUC.060 of the Annex to Regulation (EU) 2019/947 and the operation remains within the terms and conditions of that LUC; every other applicable requirement of the Regulation continues to apply.
