If you want to make changes to the approved design or manufacturing process of a certified drone type, you must submit a change application form and supporting documents to the MLIT.

Requirement as structured

A person who intends to obtain approval for a change to a Type Certification (型式認証) under Article 132-17, paragraph (1) of the Act must submit an application for change of type design/manufacturing process (型式設計・製造過程変更申請書) along with attached documents describing the changes to the Minister of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism.

法第百三十二条の十七第一項の承認を受けようとする者は、型式設計・製造過程変更申請書に当該変更に係る事項を記載した添付書類を添えて国土交通大臣に提出しなければならない。
