If you receive a notice for a temporary physical exam, you can submit a medical certificate from a specialized doctor (or your primary care doctor for dementia) stating their professional opinion and test results showing you do not have the disqualifying condition.

Requirement as structured

To satisfy the requirements of Article 132-48, Paragraph 3 of the Act, a pilot who has received a temporary physical exam notice may submit a medical certificate prepared by a physician with specialized knowledge in the relevant condition (or a dementia specialist or primary care doctor for suspected dementia), which must include the physician's opinion (and test results for dementia) confirming that the pilot does not meet the disqualifying criteria.

法第百三十二条の四十八第三項の国土交通省令で定める要件は、同条第二項の規定により通知を受けた者のその理由とされる事由に関し専門的な知識を有する医師（認知症である者であり、又は認知症である者に該当することとなつたと疑う理由があるとして同項の規定により通知を受けた者にあつては、認知症に関し専門的な知識を有する医師又は当該事由に係る主治の医師）が作成した診断書であつて、試験に合格した者が法第百三十二条の四十六第一項第一号又は第二号に該当する者でなく、又は技能証明を受けた者が法第百三十二条の五十三第一号から第三号までに該当しないと認められるかどうかに関する当該医師の意見（認知症である者であり、又は認知症である者に該当することとなつたと疑う理由があるとして法第百三十二条の四十八第二項の規定により通知を受けた者にあつては、診断に係る検査の結果及び認知症に該当しないと認められるかどうかに関する当該医師の意見）が記載されているものであることとする。
